Barbara Christina Steude was born in Mühlhausen in Thuringia. She received her first musical education in her hometown. She studied curch music and vocals in Dresden in the works of KS. Prof. Elisabeth Wilke and she is mentored by Katrin Mitzscherling since 2009.

Nowdays she sings as a asked soloist and works et.al. with Ludwig Güttler, Matthias Jung, Roderich Kreile, Georg Christoph Biller, Hans-Christoph Rademann, Peter Schreier.

 

Interior and abroad guest appearances lead her to the "Rheingau-Musikfestival", the "Dresdner Musikfestspiele", to Japan, South Korea, France, Luxembourg, Austria, Czechia and Switzerland.

 

Beside the vocal chamber music and the musical theatre she is especially interested in the cultivate music of Bach and German-language baroque music. Therefore she got significant impulses during her childhood and youth in the chantry of the "Divi-Blasii-Gemeinde" of her hometown.

Since autum 2009 she instructs as a lecturer the subject vocals at the college for curch music in Dresden.

 

In 2007 a highly praised Cd with the "Lautten Compagney Berlin" featuring solo cantatas of Dietrich Buxtehude appeared at "CARUS".
